40 years of experience by BIC Sport

BIC SUP Technology

With close to 40 years’ experience in windsurf, surfboard and SUP manufacturing BIC Sport is a pioneer and expert in the field of thermoformed composite construction technologies. In short - we know molding.
The distinguishing feature of BIC Sport’s molded technologies can be summed up in two words - PRESSURE and PRECISION :

Pressure

All BIC Sport boards are made in molds that apply tons of pressure during the manufacturing process to bond the boards together perfectly, in one shot, over the whole surface.

Precision

As a result of this significant pressure BIC Sport’s boards are made in precision-engineered aluminum molds that precisely replicate the original board shape to the nearest millimeter, ensuring an exact replica of the shaper's original design every time.

This combination of PRESSURE with PRECISION is unique in the world of SUP, Surf and Windsurf board manufacturing, resulting in industry leading consistency and quality.

TOUGH-TEC

Maximum Durability

While the materials are simple, the technology needed to properly build TOUGH-TEC boards is anything but. Under heat and pressure we fuse an incredibly durable polyethylene skin around a stringerless, precision-molded EPS foam core to reach a pinnacle in terms of durability to weight ratio. 100% Made in France with the highest quality standards and sustainable manufacturing techniques. TOUGH-TEC SUP and Windsurf boards offer unmatched product lifetime and excellent value for money.

C-TEC

Custom Technology for Minimum Weight with Maximum Performance

Our C-TEC “Custom”-Technology was developed to create the ultimate light weight, high-performance boards while maintaining good impact resistance. The success of this construction is due to the combination of Carbon-Innegra weave fabric* throughout the entire board together with a light weight low density foam core. A brushed white finish provides added durability, protection from overheating in the sun and reduced weight.
*Carbon-Innegra fabric blends the lightweight and stiffness of carbon with the durability and waterproof impact resistance of Innegra.

Key Features :
Lightweight EPS foam cores for minimum weight.
Tracer World Series : Uni-Direction Carbon for minimum weight, maximum stiffness and performance.
Tracer & Wave Pro : Carbon-Innegra sandwich for minimum weight, competitive stiffness and improved durability.
Localized reinforcement for key impact areas, improving durability in specific areas while minimizing weight overall.
Brushed matt finish for improved glide, protection from the sun.
Diamond groove pad for maximum traction.

SUP-AIR

No-Flex Stringer construction for lightweight yet rigid inflatable boards

Ultra-Light, Impressively Rigid, Highly Durable – We’ve revolutionized our SUP AIR construction to optimize rigidity, reduce weight and maintain shape control (via the rocker profile) and durability. An ultra high-density Dyneema® Stringer belt wraps the board tip to tail for added rigidity. Double layer rails maximize durability where needed most and helps to maintain shape. A single layer of drop-stitch material keeps the board extremely lightweight.

Key Features :
High density drop stitch material for stiffness and performance.
Single layer deck and bottom construction for light weight, improved finish.
Deck and bottom stringer with no-flex properties for maximum stiffness and controlled rocker profile.
Double belt construction on the rails for durability.
Tail inflation for easy packing and rolling from the nose.
