Serious prone race boards seek to blend glide, stability and comfort, so that our top athletes can excel at the highest level. The new Oxbow Prone Race board’s profile aims to maximize glide between strokes, while putting the paddlers in the best position to gain the most from every stroke, and be comfortable to carry this performance throughout a race. Stability and tracking are maximized to help keep the racer focused on moving forward towards the finish line. As always, decades of open water paddling experience inform our shapes so they can pick-up any swell and maximize glide. Featuring a full C-TEC Carbon Wood construction, the Prone Race combines a pleasing aesthetic with a race-ready lightweight and stiffness.
Ideal as a dependable ‘one-board quiver’ with the speed you need to perform at your peak combined with the stability required to stay upright and focused on the task at hand. Featuring full carbon construction for lightweight, rigidity and maximum speed, the Racer series are competition-level boards that excel in flatwater, open ocean, beach and downwind race conditions. A full nose outline with lowered profile is ideal for penetrating chop in rough conditions as well as reducing cross-wind interference. The wide cockpit standing area allows for full use of the deck area and provides a ‘corrugated’ design for added rigidity and durability. Rail edges in the rear of the board are slightly rounded and combined with a relaxed tail rocker for minimal drag. The Racer 14’ is available in two widths (23’’ and 25.5’’), choice depending on your weight and skill level. Tested and proven with professional racers Eric Terrien, Martin Vitry and The Teulade brothers and the Oxbow SUP design team.Learn More
