BIC Sport Results at 2013 Championships ESA Northeast Regional

This past weekend, BIC Sport team rider Peter Pan of Narragansett, Rhode Island, placed in 3 finals at the 2013 Eastern Surfing Association East Coast Championships Northeast Surf-Offs, held at Sea Isle City, New Jersey.  Riding his 9’6” ACE-TEC model, Pan was the only New England surfer to advance to the Open SUP Final, finishing 5th. He also took a 3rd place in the Legends Shortboard Final and 4th in the Legends Longboard Final.

Gavin Smith of Block Island, Rhode Island, also advanced to a 5th place showing in the Menehune Longboard Final, riding the 9’0” E-Comp Longboard, and competed in the the Boys Division, advancing to the semi-main.

Over 250 surfers from New England, New York, New Jersey, and the Great Lakes competed in the contest, held in difficult 1-3 foot wind chop conditions. The top finishers received automatic invitations to the East Coast Surfing Championship Finals, held in September at the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
